Recap...

So, instead of going backward, I will attempt to just go forward and recap a little bit about the last lost 6 months! In the past six months....

I have lost two very dear friends (YOUNG dear friends..), two very sad families... I feel for them every day! Just goes to show all of us out there....doesn't matter how bad the economy is...school levy's pass or fail....we all have something to be thankful for! Hug a friend or family member, tell someone that you appreciate them....we never know when or time is going to be up! MAKE THE MOST OF IT!

On a happy note...my "other" 18 soccer boys have done some really great things...they finished first place in our local league and first in two tournaments (so far). One of the tournaments was primarily club teams (we are only a community team). They really deserved it! They have been working so hard these past years... One more to go also. Madison (which is near Geneva) this weekend.....CHILLY Madison :) No matter what happens this weekend....these boys have done us parents so proud!!

Sydney started Kindergarten this past September. We were so worried (ok, only I was worried) that she would have a very hard time with it...being away from home, me, and a full day being too long also. At first it was "ok" to her, she was just worried about it cutting into her "play time", 2 months later she LOVES it! She likes her teacher, she loves her friends, loves the "structure" that school brings! She's was even mad last week...she wasn't feeling well so I kept her home, NOT HAPPY to say the least!

I will start a new job too...a daycare/preschool. 15 hours a week...it's something. I'm excited (I think :)

Corey? started 8th grade - one more year til HIGH SCHOOL...yikes! Played soccer all summer long...(I know this story gets old with most of you), went to a soccer camp this summer at the University of Akron for 5 days (he Loved it, didn't want to come back home).
That's it! So, hopefully I will be able to move on from here...and not have to go backwards.
GOOD LUCK FALCONS!!

long time....

Hmm...so I thought I gave up on this idea of blogging, little did I know, my daughter would love kindergarten (what does kindergarten and blogging have to do with one another you ask? I'll get to that...) and everyone else in my house seems consumed by their own "things" also. Sydney wants me less and less....and I have nothing of my own. Don't start to get depressed now...I made it this way on my own and I am choosing to get out of it on my own also. I need something for me. I will start back to work (part time only) soon and .....welp, I am blogging again! Maybe not every day, that's why I quit it the first place! I felt like I "HAD" to be doing it for every occasion....every holiday...every function.... not anymore. I am doing it to have fun with it and to enjoy myself, that's what it should be all about! So - stay tuned :)

Soccer Sunday....

So, I forgot to post Corey's tie on Sunday. They played Mooney and TIED!!! Now supposedly, this is a pretty good team, but our boys stepped it up and played great! For all of you who don't know, Corey's team is playing in a High School JV age group. Its kind of funny to watch, most of our boys are pretty small, with the exception of a few and they are playing up against,
freshman - seniors!! We are really proud of how they are playing. We have only won one game,
but when they loose, it's never a blow out either!
GOOD JOB FALCONS!

Corey on You Tube....

For all of you who didn't see it.....Check it out on my side bar. Corey on You Tube. They taped them during a training session for soccer. Session 8 or 9 is the best, he's more off to the right hand side of the screen.

Favorites

I love taking pictures, as my kids can attest to. I have been in a rut lately though, maybe it's the weather, not much going on, who knows. Hopefully I can get out of this funk once the weather breaks....if it ever does. So anyways...here are some of my favorites. Notice Corey isn't in any of them??? I usually have to threaten him to get in front of the camera! His 13th birthday is coming up soon, I'll make sure I have some for that!

Move Over Corey....

I REALLY thought my baby girl would fall into something different then soccer. Don't get me wrong, I love soccer, but I always seen Sydney as such a girly girl....dance, maybe gymnastics, something where you could wear a cute outfit! Nope - this past fall/winter she decided she wanted to play soccer. We signed her up at the YMCA. What a little runner she was, everytime she came off that field she was actually sweating, now I have to tell you that she didn't touch the ball, she looked good running and waving and running and waving some more, but she avoided that ball like it was a disease!! Oh well...I guess I have to give in, I may not get my little dancer after all. As a matter of fact, she wants to do this again. This time outside "just like brother", we even bought her a pair of spikes ....Nike Total 90's!! When asked whether she would rather have cute pink spikes or Nike's....well, you obviously know her reply!

TWILIGHT - An awesome book!

For any of you books readers, I highly recomend this one! This is the first of three, so far, written by Stephanie Meyer. I was hooked from the first page. Now mind you, this book is technically about VAMPIRES! I am not a science fiction book reader either. I usually prefer a mystery or a romance (as long as it is not too sappy). This one totally takes you back to your high school days and first love, but in an adult way. Very easy reading too, but so much detail. I was on the waiting list at the Austintown library for the third in this series for 2 months!! You should have seen me when the e-mail came through that said that the book was ready for me! You can ask Corey....he can attest that I was certainly happy, in fact I do believe that day fell on a friday and I had to force myself to wait till Monday to go get the book because I knew I would get nothing done that weekend! If anyone decides to read, let me know what you think!

My First Time Blogging

After stalking many other blogs, I finally I decided to dive in and try it myself. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, and I am sure this is the last thing that I SHOULD be doing :) I will probably end up being one of those bloggers who blog once a month, but hey - its supposed to be for fun, huh? I think its a nice way to keep family and friends updated - kids happenings, soccer, etc. So post number one - my kiddos...Corey (age 12 ) and Sydney (age 4 )

Hope this works out!
